The project
The development features 363 apartments over two towers of 19 and 16 storeys. It also includes a co-working space, library, gym, residents’ lounge, and two rooftop gardens. Our Cube Red fire screens were used in various areas in the two buildings to create a sleek, modern, light-filled look.
The product
Our Cube Red 30-minute and 60-minute fire-rated systems provide fire-rated glass partitioning with minimum framework and maximum glass. It’s available in single glazed or double glazed.
Our fully tested and certified slimline fire-rated partitioning systems are one of the UK’s most cost-effective options for fire-rated screens. They still give the maximum acoustic performance while keeping the same visual appeal as our non-fire-rated systems.
Fire rating for glass comes in two forms; Integrity and Insulation. Integrity means the glass structure will stay in place for the desired period of time. Insulation means that the glass will still be cold after that period, and the heat will not have penetrated through the screen. Integrity/insulation is usually available in 30/0, 30/30, 60/0 or 60/60. Your building regulator or fire officer will have the final say on the fire rating of the screen.
